Performing Arts In Our Neighborhood

Performing groups in this region who do not own their own facilities face a similar dilemma: finding performance space which is affordable, with the technical capability to allow for creative lighting and sound design. Usually, the 'affordable' spaces are completely bare-bones, with either no tech at all or with very primitive systems. The MAC will solve both of these problems: There is no rent charged. The space will be available on a co-op basis, with ticket revenue being equally split by MAC and the performing group.  The state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems will be both high quality and user friendly. There is nothing in our area like this and the cost savings will be incredible to these groups.

The design of The MAC is flexible enough to serve the Madisonville community in areas beyond the arts. During the day, the facility will provide a venue for community programs and educational seminars, as well as classes in the arts and other fields. The ultimate goal of The MAC is to work in synergy with all of its partners in the community, making everyone stronger through its versatility.
